Year 2052. The Gothams, an alien race, attack Earth. Most of the human population is destroyed. The Gotham's moon, a military battle station, becomes Earth's second moon. A submarine, Blue Noah, is Earth's last chance against the Gothams. Blue Noah has the ability to become a spaceship, but must reach N9, Bermuda, in order to do so. Blue Noah leaves N1, Japan, and sets to cross the Pacific, not knowing whether or not N9 still exists. “自卫队因避免战争而存在。”借楼评论《空母伊吹》。不论日本军政BUG，无法相信剧本是押井守的老搭档伊藤和典写的，这种片子没押井守坐镇，换谁拍、编、监都是半吊子水平，但某些海空CGI略能看到押井守的影子。漫画原著对手是中国，中国海军出动了滑跃+弹射版并带固定翼预警机的辽宁舰，中日首次交锋是歼-15低空掠袭海自驱逐舰，随后舰载歼-20登场参与突击与那国岛。这片要全按原著来拍还有大量地面战斗，如中国空降兵伞降与那国岛等等。
